This album features compositions of Irish composer Ed Bennett and focuses on a number of Bennett’s larger-scale works.
Dessanay plays in Bennett’s own ensemble Decibel, who perform Song of the Books for solo cello, electronics and amplified ensemble, conducted by Daniele Rosina and with Kate Ellis on solo cello.
The album also features RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Jack McNeill, Eliza McCarthy and Orkest de Ereprijs.
Psychedelia was released by the British record label NMC and can be purchased on the NMC website.
