On the 18th of August 2025, I will be performing at Lune di Jazz with the Al.Ma.Se. Trio, born from a long-standing collaboration between its members, myself on double bass, Alessandro Garau on drums and Maurizio Pulina on piano, who met through various projects and has been active since 2020.
For this special occasion, we present a themed repertoire dedicated to the great and inimitable jazz pianist and composer Bill Evans, a musician who revolutionised the concept of the piano trio with a more modern and interactive approach. The choice of Bill Evans stems from the perfect affinity between his compositions and the trio’s musical sensibility, which ideally revives Evans’s innovative spirit. In addition, the repertoire will feature three original pieces, one by each member of the trio, selected from those most in keeping with the project, in order to highlight the stylistic harmony between past and present.
The concert is organised by Officinacustica and takes places in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 57, in Sant’Antioco with start at 9.30 pm. Entry is 10 Euros.
