In March 2025, I will be performing a few jazz gigs in Sassari, joining drummer Luca Demontis‘ project Shawnuff, a quartet born last November to accompany Luca in his BMus final recital at the Sassari Conservatoire. Shawnuff performs numbers from Mel Lewis’s repertoire, including tunes performed with the Art Pepper + 11 band and the Thad Jones Orchestra, definitely a sparkling swinging sound!. The other members of the quartet are Paolo Carta Mantiglia on alto sax and Andrea Budroni on piano. The group exist also as a pianoless trio called Royal Roost.

Wed 26 Mar – Conservatorio Canepa, Sassari. 7pm, free entry.
Thu 27 Mar – QUOD, Sassari. 7pm, free entry.
Sat 29 Mar – Vecchio Mulino, Sassari. 8.30pm, €10 euros entry or 25€ (entry with dinner and drink included)
