I am pleased to announce that today, January 31, 2025, Alessandro Di Liberto‘s new album Punti di Vista is released, published by the Italian label GleAM Records.
Alessandro Di Liberto is a friend and longtime collaborator, having played on my debut release Songbook Volume Two (2012), which we toured across venues and festivals over Europe in 2013. On this recording I play the double bass on Alessandro’s beautiful compositions, together with Laura J Marras on saxophones and Roberto Migoni on drums.
Points of view is the story of a musical journey through the most evocative places in Sardinia: an island still partly unspoiled where the beauty of nature is able to evoke strong and indelible moods. From the different landscapes that characterize it, an inspiration was born that led to the creation of 10 original tracks that recall various natural elements: the echo of strong sea winds, the majesty of an ancient temple, rice beaches, the crystalline color of the sea, colorful villages and high towers from which to admire an ancient land, with a mysterious charm, in which time seems to have stopped.
