On the 26th of June 2010, I performed 40 minutes of improvised music on doublebass for the Street Scenes event, as part of Pride London, organised by composer Matthew Lee Knowles on Old Compton Street, London. Musicians, actors, poets, artists, exhibitionists, joggers, walkers, crawlers and runners “took the street for three hours, performing their creative journeys and creating new ones to construct a concrete piece which starts at one end of the street and ends at the other: premeditated adventures from the simple quick and unnoticed crossing to the complex extravagant drawn out expedition” (Matthew Lee Knowles).
